Cosmetology Future Professionals that started at GMAI on January 11th 2005 end their year long program this month. As they prepare for their state boards many are seeking new opportunities and are eager to begin the next phase of their career. During the month of December, graduates, one-by-one, will finish their hours; of course, the ones with the best attendance will leave first. Welcoming Future Professionals (AKA GMAI Angels) accompany guests at the October 2005 Career Fair. The theme this year was “The New Golden Age” and teams of Cosmetology and Esthetics students put their creativity to the runway with dazzling looks inspired by fashion and design from the 1920s and 30s. While Cosmetology focused on hair design and fashion, Esthetics Future Professionals did make-up applications and decorated stations in the spa, each representing a unique inspiration for skin care and spa trends. Nearly 25 Salon and Spa invitees showed up for the bi-annual event. They set up booths, did some demos, cheered on the fashion show , dined at the buffet and toured the spa in true fair-like fashion.
