Future Professionals are gearing up for the third Career Fair at GMAI. Teams are designing, collaborating and preparing to demonstrate skill and enthusiasm on March 28th. Please call or email to learn how to get involved. Participating salons and Spas will feature their businesses by setting up booths in true fair-like fashion while Future Professionals peruse the market place. Visitors can tour the spa all dressed up according to each esthetic future professional’s inspiration while cosmetology future professionals put on a show like no one has seen before.

Prepare to be inspired.

Special Guest, Industry Icon Sam Brocato speaks at our January ’06 Graduation Ceremony. Sam Brocato attended the January 21 Graduation Ceremony and spoke about his own journey and success in the beauty industry.

Sam Brocato is the Author of Beautiful Business: Retailing for the Hairdresser, Sam was inducted into the British Hairdressers Hall of Fame and won the World Hairdressing Congress' “World Top Fashion Hairstylist" and NAHA's Editorial Stylist of the Year 1996. He won the NAHA lifetime achievement award in 2005 and he is currently the founding chair of Pro Beauty Cares Katrina Relief Fund. He is currently spending all of his time on the Katrina relief effort.

 

The response was phenomenal as Guests of Gary Manuel Aveda Institute and Gary Manuel Salon took part in Citysearch.com’s annual Best of Citysearch poll.

Remarkably, GMAI ranked in the top three for Best Facial. Gary Manuel Salon was voted the editorial winner for Best Salon and, no surprise, Gary Manuel Salon was voted the editorial and audience winner for Color and Highlights.
